The Birth of Norah | Everett Washington Birth Photographer

I got the text Tuesday afternoon that labor had started and to be ready to go!  I got my bags all packed and of course couldn’t go to bed.  At 230am she was at 6cm and was going to check back in with me in a couple hours with an update.  I hadn’t slept much all night and figured I’d only have a couple more hours to go.  Sure enough at 455 am she texted and was about 7-8cm.  I know I had to get up and get to the hospital.  I showed up soon after that and we stalled at 8cm for hours.  This is always not much fun for the mom, but I was secretly happy we would have some good natural light coming.  Mom took a nap and we waited.  Finally it was time to push!  After pushing only a couple times Norah came out healthy as can be.  Dad got to assist in catching in and, like always, it was magical!  Mom got to snuggle Norah for a while and then big sister came and stole the show.  It was the cutest big sibling meeting I have ever seen.  She was soooo genuinely excited to have a new little sister and it definitely shows in the pictures.  Thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
